Due to our financial transparency, our rigor in fundraising, and our honesty
in hiring, Frères des Hommes has been a member of the Committee
on Fundraising Ethics for Social and Humanitarian Organizations since
2000.
Frères des Hommes annually submits
its revenues for inspection by a certified public accountant and the Commissioner
on Accounting.
To put in place our development programs
and to carry out our actions, Frères des Hommes benefits from two
principal financial sources:
1- The contributions of approximately
12 000 donors
and businesses who express confidence in the organization and wish to
show their support for the social goals of Frères des Hommes.
Each donor is sent a receipt within three weeks of receiving the contribution.
This receipt allows donors to deduct 66% of the amount of their contribution
from their tax returns, for up to 20% of their taxable income.
Donors making automatic contributions receive this same receipt annually.
2- Co-financing with national
and international institutions (Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
local and regional bodies, European Union), obtained through requests
filed by Frères des Hommes.
Respect and moral engagement being the
key words that link Frères des Hommes with its donors and partner
institutions, the association publishes an annual activities report. The
2005 activities report, composed of an ethical report and a financial
report is available by clicking
here, by email (dons@fdh.org),
by telephone (01 55 42 62 60), or by mail.
